Haiti still needs a lot of help. Please donate today.
The price of the Kindle version has been reduced to $0.99. As before, we hope readers will donate directly to Friends of the Orphans after reading Russell’s journal.
Mark Graban and www.LeanBlog.org raised almost $!000 thanks to a charity auction. Thanks to all of the authors and organizations who donated materials to be auctioned. Read more here.
This page is the home for a fundraising project called “Lean For Haiti.”
We are hoping that people will read a personal journal written by Russell Maroni, an x-ray technician from Akron Children’s Hospital who volunteered in Haiti after the devastating 2010 earthquake.
The journal is currently available in these formats:
- A free PDF, hosted on Scribd.com
- A free PDF download: Haiti 2010 Journal Formatted Jan 11 2011 leanforhaiti-dot-org
- Amazon Kindle format ($2.99)
- e-Pub format for Sony Reader, etc. ($0.99)
We released the Journal a few weeks before we had the tracking link, so we’re certain that others donated without our knowledge.
Thanks to everyone for their continued support of this project and Haiti relief.
Thanks to Paul Akers for having Russell on the show to talk about his experiences and his Haiti journal.
Here is the link to listen. Fast forward to about 12 minutes in to hear Mark Graban introduce Russell…
From the ACH website:
“Overall, my personal sacrifice was very small,” said Maroni, who mentioned that many others from the hospital have given their time and resources to Haiti. “My goal for this journal is that it might raise awareness of the need and the adventure of mission work.”
